3 Reasons to Make the Switch: Organic Laundry Soap Eco Nuts

Recently, I made the switch to Organic Laundry Soap Eco Nuts. I have been making my own chemical free laundry detergent for a few years now but lately found myself more and more dissatisfied. The homemade laundry soap worked okay, no problem there: but there were a few nagging issues in the back of my mind that wouldn’t seem to go away.

3 Reasons to make the switch to Organic Laundry Soap Eco Nuts Making homemade laundry soap involves the use of a high speed blender to grind a bar of natural soap into a fine powder. My Vitamix worked beautifully for this task, but the particle dust that wafted up every time I opened the blender was immediately sucked in to my nose and lungs. I tried everything I could, short of putting on a full blown space suit, or passing out from holding my breath, to prevent this from occurring. Nothing worked to prevent the rush of noxious particles.

3 Reasons to make the switch to Organic Laundry Soap Eco Nuts Another factor that was frustrating for me was time. Making homemade soap is a fairly quick process once you get started, the problem for me was the hassle in getting motivated to get it done. I usually would find myself waiting til the last minute, and then rushing around to get the job done, because a load needed washed and I had no soap prepared and ready to go. Perhaps this was a lack of organization on my part, but an issue that repeated itself far too often.

3 Reasons to make the switch to Organic Laundry Soap Eco Nuts So I set about looking into alternatives that were organic, chemical free, and actually worked to get clothes clean from the ground in dirt we accumulated fairly regularly from working in the garden. If you have done any research in this area, you already know that these types of organic laundry soaps bought in the store are quite expensive and options are limited. Fortunately, quite by accident I stumbled onto Organic Laundry Soap from Eco Nuts and my love affair with Eco Nuts began in earnest.

Eco Nut Towels on the left, noticeably fluffier and softer.

Organic Laundry Soap Eco Nuts solved every one of the issues I had. Here is a product that works beautifully. My laundry comes out clean, odor free, and softer than it has ever been in the past. Eco Nuts are incredibly simple to use. Simply open the box, take out a few Eco Nuts, place Eco Nuts in the cute little draw string bag provided, and cinch up the strings. Now throw bag in the washer and wash. Easy peasy; no mess, no fine particles, no problems!

3 Reasons to make the switch to Organic Laundry Soap Eco Nuts The best part about Eco Nuts is the COST!!! Doing a comparison I figured out the cost for making my own laundry soap was about 14 cents a load. A 20.5 oz box of Organic Laundry Soap Eco Nuts is $34.95 and will provide for 360 loads of laundry. This works out to less than 10 cents a load. It is LESS than making my own homemade laundry soap. SOLD!

In summary: 3 Reasons to make the switch to Organic Laundry Soap Eco Nuts

  1. Less mess… no breathing in fine particles of stuff that doesn’t belong anywhere near my nose and lungs.
  2. No hassle…simply open the box, place the Organic Laundry Soap Eco Nuts in a bag and throw in the washer. Easy peasy.
  3. Cost’s less than making my own organic laundry soap and works amazingly to get my clothes clean and soft every single time.

I am a believer and I will never go back to making my own laundry detergent again.

I had always wanted to make my own soap, but usually find myself purchasing it, it’s easier. I try to stick with organic soaps myself. If you read the back of certain softeners the label says flammable!! The first time I read that, I made it a point to switch. Also, one of my children had bad eczema, which has almost completely disappeared since we’ve switched to a more organic lifestyle.
All the best, and thank you for sharing via Mommy Monday!

Eco Nuts truly are a wonder product. I know I have said it many times but this product is a keeper! I am glad to hear your children are doing better with organic soap. Personally, I think it makes the world of difference to get away from the harsh chemicals and go organic, no matter which product you choose. Thanks for stopping by and taking a moment to share.
      Blessings,

So far, yes. As the Eco nuts start to dissolve, I simply add a few more to the pouch. I have been doing laundry for about 5 weeks with the soap nuts now. An average of 3-4 loads a week. I used 4 nuts in the bag when I first started using them. Just last week I added 3 more Eco nuts to the bag with the disintegrating ones and they are still going strong. That’s at least 17 loads of laundry. Hope that helps.

I’m loving all these positive soap nut reviews. I’ve been wanting to try them for a while – especially for diaper washing. My kids have such sensitive skin. I need to bite the bullet and just order some!

I am very happy with them. I haven’t tried them on diapers (my kids are grown and gone) but I am trying to get my daughter to give them a try with her baby who is still in diapers. She is using an organic soap formulated for babies sensitive skin but it is much more expensive than Eco Nuts. If you do try them, I would love to know how they work for you and your kids sensitive skin.

I have made my own laundry soap and over several months the clothes became dingy. THIS one looks like a winner! Thanks for sharing a new idea. Carrie, A Mother’s Shadow

    Shari,

Caleb, my son with special needs, has super sensitive skin. If you look at him, it gives him a rash. Just kidding, but it really seems that way. This would be wonderful. I buy laundry detergent just for him.

I am amazed at how well Eco Nuts works. When I bought the product, I was a bit skeptical but the concept intrigues me so I figured why not at least try them. I was sold immediately, I love how simple it is and I don’t have to hassle with homemade anymore. I am glad I made the switch.

I have been using the Eco Nuts for a little over a month now. My clothes are getting softer every time I wash them. I think it is because all the stuff I used to use is being thoroughly washed away. I love, love, love this product!

I have been making my own soap for a few years and that was inexpensive. Hard to believe the Eco Nuts would be less, but they are. I couldn’t believe it when I did the math. AND they really work!
