Something about an old-fashioned Christmas is hard to forget.
-Hugh Downs (1921- ), American newscaster.
Christmas is about celebrating the birth of Christ and recognizing the significance of that fact. It is also about family gathering and spending time together. Today, my son and his beautiful wife arrive to spend 12 glorious days with us and I for one am so excited I can barely contain myself.
My son and his wife live in Japan and I only have the opportunity to see them once every couple of years, thus my excitement at their visit. The house is clean, decorations are spread and we certainly need not worry about cookies. My only sadness is that my daughter and her fiance can not be here to share in our holiday celebrations.
You who have children still at home, be sure to hold them close and treasure the moment you have together. Time flys all too quickly.
I love the chocolaty melting snowmen, they are so adorable. I had to try my hand at making them, if only for novelty’s sake. Turns out they are not only adorable but tasty too. I was surprised to find peanut butter in the cookie and loved the chocolaty peanut taste. They go together quickly and are easy to make. A simple recipe well worth trying.
