Welcome to Pure Grace Farms.  So great to have you stop in for a visit.

Pure Grace is a small farm nestled in the foothills outside of Boise, Idaho.

Food here  is organically grown, prepared and preserved for optimum benefit to body and soul.

It is our desire  to explore a sane approach to sustainability, from seed to table.

My name is Shari and my husband is Tim, and while we don’t always agree on what that sane approach is, we are learning, compromising when necessary, and thoroughly enjoying all the wonderful fruits of our labor.

Hope you can stay awhile.  Tim and I are looking forward to sharing with you some of the things we have learned as we have ventured along on our journey, and hope to learn a thing or two from you as well as our journey is far from over.

It has long been a passion of mine to live off the grid and develop a greater level of sustainability. Life and circumstances have not always cooperated with my passions. Sometimes  my desires  come face to face with reality. I am learning to live within that  happy middle ground, finding …A sane approach to sustainability. Come along on a journey with me and let’s explore all the ways to live a simpler, healthier, tastier and more independent way of life.

While Shari is certainly the dreamer in our relationship, I consider myself the voice of reason. Growing up I was the oldest of 7 children and for as long as I can remember we always had a huge garden in Western Washington. I don’t spend nearly the time in the garden that Shari does (I’m convinced that a man has got to watch football to survive!) but I am in charge of all the numerous construction projects that she comes up with. I am a committed Do-It-Your-Selfer; my favorite stores are Home Depot and Lowes. So buying a green house ‘kit’ is out of the question. I am also looking forward to interacting with you in the coming months and years.
